Mr. Md. Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub is the Chairman of Fair Group which is the proud manufacturer of Samsung Mobile and Consumer Electronics in Bangladesh. Mr. Mahbub is one of the prominent technology entrepreneurs with the aspiration of bringing the latest innovation in Bangladesh to enhance people’s lifestyle through technology, quality and convenience.
Mr. Mahbub has more than two decades of entrepreneurial experience in trading and distribution of food & lifestyle, mobile devices, consumer electronics, IT solutions and automotive. His business journey started with Nokia under Fair Trade International in 1998 and later he continued partnering with the global technology leader Samsung since 2014 with Fair Distribution Limited.
Mr.Mahbub established Fair Electronics manufacturing plant in association with Samsung at Narsingdi, Dhaka maintaining global standard. Samsung Mobile Phone, Refrigerator, Television, Air Conditioner, Washing Machine, and Microwave Oven are produced here with the pride of ‘Made in Bangladesh’ creating opportunity of 3000+ employment.
In 2020, Mr. Mahbub entered into the automotive industry with another Korean giant Hyundai under Fair Group’s business unit Fair Technology Ltd. Now, Fair Technology is the authorized distributor, after-sales service providers of Hyundai passenger vehicles In Bangladesh. In 2021, Hyundai and Fair Technology jointly announced to establish Hyundai manufacturing plant at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park, Kaliakair, Gazipur, Dhaka.
Mr. Md Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub has already been proven for his dynamic business personality and honored as Commercially Important Person (CIP) by the government in 2017. Under his leadership Fair Electronics Ltd. was awarded “First Global Manufacturing Award” in 2019 and Nationally Highest VAT payer in the manufacturer category for the fiscal year 2018-2019. In 2022, Ministry of Industries awarded “National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award” through which Fair Electronics has achieved recognition of the Government of Bangladesh as the best manufacturing company of the country – “The first prize in the Steel & Engineering Category”.
Mr Mahbub is the President of Mobile Phone Industry Owners’ Association of Bangladesh (MIOB)
