ICT Minister Inaugurated Samsung air conditioner Manufacturing plant in Narsingdi

Wednesday, 27 January, 2021 – Today Fair Electronics inaugurated Samsung air conditioner manufacturing plant at Shibpur, Narsigndi. Honorable State Minister of ICT Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP Inaugurated Samsung air conditioner manufacturing plant of Fair Electronics factory premises. Ambassador of the republic of Korea H.E. Lee Jang-Keun; District Commissioner, Narsingdi, Ms. Sayeda Farhana Kawnine; Managing Director Samsung Electronics Bangladesh Hwansung Woo; Principal Professional and recently former Managing Director Samsung Electronics Bangladesh Seungwon Youn; Fair Group Chairman Mr. Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub; Director Mr. Mutassim Daiaan; Adviser Maj. Gen. Hamid R. Chowdhury, RCDS, PSC (Retd.); Chief Marketing Officer Mr. Mesbah Uddin; head of marketing Mr. J. M. Taslim Kabir and other high officials from government, Samsung and Fair Group enlightened the program. Fair Electronics (a concern of Fair Group) is the authorized manufacturer of Samsung mobile phone and consumer electronic products in Bangladesh.
Honorable State Minister of ICT along with senior ICT officials, senior journalists and Fair Group management visited mobile phone and consumer electronics factory premises to see the production process and praised the quality of the production process regarding the technological knowledge and excellence of workers. Factory workers and employees of fair group have been encouraged by this visit of honorable State Minister of ICT and they have committed to deliver best quality products with the vision to promote “Made in Bangladesh”.
Honorable State Minister of ICT Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP said, “Fair Electronics is producing all smartphone & consumer electronics and it will surely boost up in our country’s light engineering sector. Samsung Mobile Phone and Consumer Electronics factory will bring confidence of foreign investors especially hi-tech companies which will enhance our employment opportunities. We hope they will contribute in our export in near future. We ensure to continue our support for Samsung, Fair Electronics and all other similar hi-tech industries.”
Chairman of Fair Group Mr. Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub said, “We are inaugurating this latest Samsung air conditioner manufacturing plant to fulfill our customer demand within their affordability. This factory will generate employment and will bring foreign currencies by exporting air conditioner and other consumer electronics. Thanks to honorable State Minister of ICT and ICT Team for such a manufacturing friendly supports and request continuous support to hi-tech industries for transforming Bangladesh as a technology hub in the world.”
