NBR Chairman Inaugurated Samsung Television Manufacturing plant of Fair Electronics
Honorable Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Sr. Secretary IRD, Ministry of Finance Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem Inaugurated Samsung Television Manufacturing plant of Fair Electronics at Narsingdi, Bangladesh on Saturday, 5 December 2020. District Commissioner, Narsingdi, Ms. Sayeda Farhana Kawnine ,General Manager Mr. Bomin Kim from Samsung Electronics Bangladesh; Fair Group Chairman Mr. Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub, Advisor Major General Hamid R Chowdhury, rcds, psc (Retd), CMO Mohammed Mesbah Uddin, CFO Mr. Kazi Nasir Uddin, FCA, Head of Marketing Mr. J. M. Taslim Kabir , Head Of Internal Control & Compliance Mr. Rayan Rahman, General Manager (Factory Supply Chain & Project) Md Arifur Rahman and other high officials from government, Samsung and Fair Group enlightened the program. Fair Electronics (a concern of Fair Group) is the authorized manufacturer of Samsung mobile phone and consumer electronic products in Bangladesh.
Honorable Chairman of NBR along with senior NBR officials, Dhaka East Commissioner, senior journalists and Fair Group management visited mobile phone and consumer electronics factory premises to see the production process and praised the quality of the production process regarding the technological knowledge and excellence of workers and cleanliness of factory area. Factory workers and employees of fair group have been encouraged by this visit of honorable Chairman NBR and they have committed to deliver best quality products with the vision to promote “Made in Bangladesh”.
Honorable Chairman of NBR Mr. Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem said, “Fair Electronics is producing all smart television upto latest 85 inch QLED Television and it will surely boost up in our country’s light engineering sector. Samsung Mobile Phone and Consumer Electronics factory will bring confidence of foreign investors especially hi-tech companies which will enhance our employment opportunities. We hope they will contribute in our export in near future. We ensure to continue our policy support for Samsung, Fair Electronics and all other similar hi-tech industries.”
Chairman of Fair Group Mr. Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub said, “We are inaugurating this latest Samsung Television Manufacturing Plant to fulfill the dream of our father of the nation and make the Digital Bangladesh vision of our honorable Prime minister Sheikh Hasina. Samsung television produced from this factory will be used in various activities like digital classroom and accelerate the process of Digital Bangladesh faster. Moreover, it will bring foreign currencies by exporting television and other consumer electronics. Thanks to honorable chairman of NBR and NBR team for making manufacturing friendly policies and request continuous support to hi-tech industries for transforming Bangladesh as a technology hub in the world.”
