Fair Electronics Inaugurates New Plant to Manufacture Samsung Mobile Phones in Bangladesh

On 3^rd April 2018 Fair Electronics Limited has announced the inauguration of a new manufacturing plant at Narsingdi to produce a wide range of 4G smartphones for Samsung Electronics in Bangladesh. Please see the detail news coverage in the attached file.

The 58,000 sq ft state-of-the-art plant will generate over 500 new jobs and many more indirect jobs, bringing in affordable smartphones to consumers and encourage more investments in Bangladesh.

This new manufacturing plant reinforces Samsung’s commitment to Bangladesh and is aligned with the nation’s Digital Bangladesh Vision 2021, which is driving the use of digital technology in the country. Samsung will be the first global handset company to set up a manufacturing plant in Bangladesh.

This manufacturing plant is in line with the policies of the Government of Bangladesh and will help increase localisation, create more jobs and also a robust technology workforce in the country.

Samsung entered Bangladesh in 2009 and today it also runs Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh that works on developing mobile applications, B2B solutions and on localization.

The manufacturing facility in Bangladesh will follow stringent quality assurance processes and standards in line with those followed by global facilities of Samsung.
