National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2021 is given to Fair Distribution Limited, SBU of Fair Group on 17 June 2023 in the capital, on a vibrant ceremony hosted at InterContinental Dhaka.
The event was graced by Honorable Minister, Ministry of Industries, Mr. Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun as the chief guest who handed over the prize to Mr. Mutassim Daiaan, Director of the Fair Group. Secretary for the Ministry of Industries Ms. Zakia Sultana presided over it. The Industries Ministry presents the award every year to a number of private sector businesses for their exceptional contributions to the development of industry, the creation of jobs, and the nation’s economy.
Fair Distribution was awarded the first prize as best in the service category (mid-level industry). This time, the award has been granted in six categories to a total of 39 businesses and service providers. The Institutional Appreciation Award, 2021, has also been given to two trade organizations.
Mr. Mutassim Daiaan said, “This accomplishment was made by Fair Distribution Limited, a member of our Fair Group. This triumph belongs to all the members of Fair Group. And I want to thank all of them for their combined efforts. It is a matter of great pride for us. We appreciate the support of the government and the ministry of industries for the award which will be an inspiration for our future endeavor.”
Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub, the chairman of Fair Group, spearheaded the establishment of Fair Distribution as a nationwide distribution network for the top global brands like Samsung’s mobile phones, Olitalia, Tong Garden, Alfa, Alshifa Honey etc.
Earlier in 2020, the Ministry of Industry awarded the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award to Fair Electronics with the first prize in the steel and engineering category.
